Adult/Masters Rowers

One of the very special elements of SBCR is the support and friendship you gain with your team, whether you’re rowing by yourself, or in a double or in a quad. Equilibrium, persistence, and an openness to the wonder of the lake—plus laughter—mark every practice. Come join us.

New to rowing or an experienced rower, SBCR has a program for you!

The guiding belief of SBCR is that Rowing Skills ARE Life Skills. Masters rowers have enough life under their belts to know the truth of the statement and to embrace the camaraderie of rowing with each other around the lake.

If you don’t know how to row yet, you would begin with the Learn to Row, and once you’ve completed that, you would move into Masters practices.

There are two Masters practices: one M/W and one T/Th, which have two different focuses: recreation and technique for M/W and competition for T/Th.

Coaches will help you sort out which practice is right for you, and many of us switch between groups. What remains the same is the SBCR camaraderie.
